A beck is one of a parish boundaries, when a town of Sedgefield begins on the other side of the flow of any stream. A earliest owner of a village (and so manor) in record were the personal of " Fissebourne". There are a total of theories in how else the village had its title. Inside a single book these are stated that a title derives from either a Saxon words "Fisc" meaning fish & " Bourne" meaning creek. An additional theory is that it was from either a monks world health organization utilized to fish at this spot within early times; hence "fish in the burn", Fishburn. All a same these are additional in all probability that the personal of Fissebourne gave its title to the manor. It can be a Flemish title associated by having the Norman Conquerers.i personally.e. Ranulf first state Fishbourne. Old maps indicate that a village was known as "Fissebourne" at once, and so a few considerable years late, it became "Fishbourne", late adopting its present title "Fishburn"
